NutriAdmin allows you to create, store, and manage a collection of recipes. You can use the recipes feature for mainly two purposes:
- To store and keep organized your recipes over time, so that you can download them with 1 click when you need to hand them in to a client
- To add your recipes to meal plans.
This article covers how to create a recipe in NutriAdmin.
Step 1: Click on Recipes.
Step 2: Click on New Recipe
Step 3: You will get 2 options: to create your own recipe, or to search the recipe database. The first option lets you start a recipe from scratch, whilst the second option lets you search for ideas and edit the recipes you find.
Searching the recipe database is a feature available if you are on the "popular" plan or higher. For more information, please check our pricing page.
Creating your own recipe is available in any plan. For the sake of this example, let's click on Create My Own Recipe.

You will have the chance to type useful information such as the recipe's name, number of servings, and preparation time. You can really type anything you want, but you may find it useful to follow a consistent template to that your recipes are organized nicely as your collection grows.
When you are done editing, click on save changes. Your recipe document will be updated accordingly.
Step 6: Add ingredients to your recipe. You will need to hover with your mouse over the Ingredients paragraph, then click on the blue pencial button to edit.
You will gain access to the food editor. On this screen you can:
- Click on categories to add common foods (e.g. Meat > Pork > Bacon).
- Search food in the database
- Use your own foods that you have created previously (more info).
Add a few foods to your recipe. You can click on the food amount to adjust it. Moreover, you can choose whether display food amounts in grams, ounces, or portions (learn more).
When you are done, click on Save Changes.
Step 7: Add instructions to your recipe. These should be a series of steps that will help your clients in preparing your recipe. Hover over the instructions paragraph, and click on edit. You will see something like the below on your screen.
